One year old!

One year ago!

Happy birthday Jace!!  I can not believe that it has already been a year!  Here are our last group of onesie pictures with our bear.  To compare, I posted a picture of our first photo shoot.  Crazy how much he has changed in the past year!

Righty or Lefty?

We still don't know if Jace is right handed or left handed.  He still eats primarily with his left hand, but he throws all of his toys with his right hand.  He also waves with his right hand.  Only time will tell!

Buddies with Max:

Max is slowly starting to come around.  He will know let Jace pet him (for a couple seconds) and loves it when Jace chases him around the house.  Max also loves it when Jace is eating and helps us clean up the floor.  I can't wait until Jace starts walking and can really chase Max....then we will really see how Max likes him!

Ooooohhh!!

This month Jace has started saying "ooohhhh."  He says it with his lips in a little "o."  It is so cute.  He will say it when he drops something, throws something or hears something loud.  I think it's his version of "uh-oh."  He has also said "dada" a couple times to Chris....Chris isn't convienced it's his first word, but I think it is!  I guess we will know for sure in the next month or so.  He is also constatntly babbling....he has so much to say, but just can't get it out yet.  :)

Dear Jace,

Happy birthday!  I can not believe that you are already 1!  One year ago, at 12:17am one year ago our lives were changed forever....you were born and we became a family.  I can not believe how much we love you!  I'm both excited and sad today as you celebrate your first birthday.  While I can't wait to see what the next year will bring, I'm so sad that your infant days are over.  I cherished the moments when you would fall asleep in my arms and snuggle all day but now you are a "big" boy that would rather be playing with your toys.  I love your smile and little giggles....you are constantly making us laugh with your "cheese" face when you scrunch up your nose.  I love your little baby babble and big hugs!  You learn so quickly....whether we try to teach you a new sign, how to high five, or a new trick with a toy, you pick everything up so quickly!  You are a goof ball and love to play hide and seek or peek a boo!  You are curious as you constantly inspect all of your toys and the things around you.  You are determined and stubborn, but easy going at the same time.  You have changed our life and we love you more then you could ever know.   In the next year I can't wait to see your first steps, hear your first word and see even more of your little personality start to develop.  I love you lil man!
