First baseball game!

Yesterday, Jace went to his very first baseball game! It was so fun getting him dressed in his Tampa Bay gear to go watch Chris play for the first time! It was a learning experience for me too...just trying to figure out if I can bring a stroller, do I need the car seat, should I bring a bottle, how many diapers do I need, does he need toys to play with yet or will just sit there, etc. so far I learned you can't bring strollers and there isn't room for the car seat in the stands. So I have to check everything at guest services (where I met some very nice people yesterday) or carry him from the car. I also learned that Jace does not like wind! It was so windy yesterday and he wanted nothing to do with it. So I put his jacket and on and he snuggled in close to me and slept most of the game. It was fun having him with me, but very different then how it used to be at baseball games. Gone are the days of just sitting there, watching the game, chatting with the other wives. Now I'm mainly focused on Jace, watching for foul balls that might come our way and then catching a little bit of the game. But I wouldn't change it for the world...and I'm sure it will get easier once I figure out what I need and don't need. By the time the season starts both Jace and I will be pros! :)

All ready to go in my Rays shirt!

I can't wait to watch dad play!

We made it! Ready to cheer on dad!

Worn out...this is a long game mom!

Pictures with dad after the game

He gave us his "sad face - lip" when we told him the game was over!

First baseball family photo!

  1. Your son is absolutely precious. I was wondering if you could tell me where you got his Tampa Bay shirt? Our sons coach pitch team is the Rays and I haven't been able to find a cute shirt for our 2 year old to wear.

Very excited to have found your blog. I love finding Christian athletics to encourage our son to use as role models. Praying for you and your family.

  3. Thank you. I may check on Target online. I am not sure they would have them here in Texas, but you never know.
