I have found so many cute things on Pinterest lately. Have you heard of pinterest? It's this amazing website where you can "pin" decorating ideas, clothes, recipes that you would like to keep, use or order in the future. "Pinning" is basically just saving the website. Anyway, I have found some great ideas and wanted to share some of the ones I actually did!! So often I pin something and never do anything with it, so I'm proud to say I actually did some of the ideas.
First, I wanted to find a cute way to wrap my presents this year. I saw this picture on pinterest and thought it was a cute, natural way to wrap gifts. So I set out, got some paper, red yarn, and stencils for the letters. Here is the pinterest version, and my version....it's not quite as cute as the original, but I still like how they turned out! :)

Second, I wanted to come up with a fun way to display our holiday cards this year. Normally I just squeeze them all on the fridge, but then I saw this picture on pinterest. It suggested using foam board and fabric to make a display board. And since I had some extra paper from my wrapping, I just used it to make my own display board with the red yarn! It's now hanging in our kitchen! :)

We are having Christmas Eve dinner at our house. I thought for a fun favor I would make these cute little M&M packages that I saw on pinterest. The little poem on the outside talks about how the "M's" on the candies can be turned in different directions to mean different things for the holiday. Cute! And my friend Bryn has been raving about mint M&M's so I might just have to put those in here! :) I haven't made them yet, but that will be my project this weekend!

Finally, this isn't a holiday decoration, but something else fun for our house that Chris made. I saw this life-sized ruler on pinterest a couple months ago and thought it would be such a cute way to measure Jace as he grows! We had a wall like this at my parents house but it ended up getting painted over! So I liked that this big ruler could be moved from room to room or house to house and we would never lose it! Here is the pinterest version and the one Chris made! He added his own little touch on the numbers...I think it turned out great! :)
