Chris' SURPRISE 30th B-day!

There are some moments in life that you don't forget.  I will never forget the look on Chris' face when he walked into his surprise 30th birthday party.  Seriously, classic.  He had no idea!  Let me give you a little back ground story.  A few months ago I asked Chris what he wanted to do for his big birthday.  He kinda looked at me and said, "Well, I was kind of hoping you would throw me a surprise party."  My first thought was how can I throw him a surprise party without him knowing now that he just asked for it?!  But I figured out a way....throw him a party a month early!  While that may sound weird....it was perfect for so many reasons!  Let me explain...

First, Chris' birthday is two days after Christmas which would make it really hard to get all of his friends and family together.  And Chris always complains that since his birthday is so close to Christmas that he never really gets a big party.  So I figured doing it in November would make it easier to have more people there and make it really special for Chris.

Second, we did it the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  And I figured that most people would be in town celebrating with their families....so less people would have to travel to come to the party.  And that worked out perfect!  Nearly everyone we invited was able to come!

Third,  Chris would never expect it!  It even took him a few minutes to figure out that the surprise was for him and that we hadn't walked into someone else's party!  Success!!

So long story short, it worked!  Not only was Chris really surprised, over 90 people came to celebrate!!  90!!  I couldn't believe it!  And there were like 20 kids from the age of 2 months to 5 years old.  So much fun! We rented out the local bowling alley and everyone bowled, had dinner, drinks and sang karaoke!  It was such a fun night!  And I don't think either of us will ever forget it!  Here are some pictures from our fun night!  (Since I walked in with Chris I didn't get a picture of his reaction...but let me tell you he was so shocked!  Oh, and I don't have any pictures of myself cause I was behind the camera! Ha!)
