This morning Chris, Jace and I went to a breakfast spot called the Madhatters. We heard it was really good from a bunch of the players on the team. Well after we got there we realized they were probably the players without kids. When we walked in we figured out that you have to order at the counter and then take your number to the table. Then if we wanted coffee or water we had to fill it up ourselves at the beverage counter. That would be absolutely fine if we didn't have Jace with us. So to make it easy, we decided to have Chris go sit down with Jace and I would make a couple trips to get our coffee and waters. Well then we saw our next problem. All of the tables were filled...but not just with normal breakfast eaters. No, all of the tables were filled with laptops and students working on their college work. They all had books our reading and highlighting, typing papers with headphones listening to music. We felt SO out of place. Not to mention all of them were looking at us like we were aliens since we walked in there with a toddler! Ha ha! But we finally found a table in between to studying students and waited for our meal. Jace did great and didn't have any crazy outbursts, but we felt like we had to keep him quieter then we would at a normal restaurant. Chris even looked around and said that he would feel so old if he went back to college. He's said," When I went to college we didn't use computers in class...we actually took notes in a binder!" Ha ha! Needless to say we probably won't go back, but the breakfast was good! :)
