Big boy day!

Jace had a HUGE day today.  I decided that today was the day that we were going to take away his pacifier.  He has only been using it for nap time and bed time, but I figured the longer we wait the harder it will be.  So this morning after Jace woke up, I cut the tip of the pacifier off.  I told him it was broken and showed him what happened.  Then, at nap time, I gave it to him like I normally do and told him it was broken.  I even let him take it into the crib with him.  He sat there for about five minutes crying and saying, "broken, broken, broken...."  But then he laid down and fell asleep!  I couldn't believe that it was that easy.  We will see how it goes tonight....I'm not sure how many times he was waking up and putting it in his mouth to fall back asleep in the middle of the night, so it could be interesting.  But hopefully it will go the same as it did at nap time.  Fingers crossed.

And while we were at it, I decided it was time for him to get a big boy haircut.  We have been trimming his hair since he was five months old....and it grows back SO fast!  So I was getting sick of taking him every couple weeks to get it trimmed, so we went for it and cut it really short.  He still looks adorable....here are some before and after pictures.  Oh, and the place I took him was SO cool.  It was a "men's" salon called Sports Clips.  It had flat screens every where playing a baseball game, murals on the walls, and it looked like a garage with tool boxes to hold to the scissors.  Jace loved it!!  And sat there great with a sucker and watched baseball.  Ha ha!  It was great!

PS On a separate note, I've been an awful blogger lately!  Gonna try and do a better job keeping you guys up to date!  :)
