All-star break!

We had such an amazing 3 days off together as a family. I always look forward to the all-star break...it's a much needed break from the daily grind of baseball!  This year we decided to just stay put in our little apartment instead if taking a trip. We figured it would be easier with Jace and less stressful on us...and the whole point if the break is to relax!!

On the first day we went to the Life and Science Museum.  This place is full of fun things for Jace to see and play with....they have animals, drums, building blocks, fake clouds, dinosaurs, insect and butterfly farm, projection screens, sound machines...I could go on and on! It has so much great stuff for kids.

After the museum we went to the grocery store to get the ingredients for all the meals that Chris wanted. Since he doesn't get to eat dinner at home very often I wanted to make his favorites. He picked pulled pork, lasagna and steak!  We hung out the rest of the day and watched the home run derby.

Day two was a day for me! We went to the mall in the morning. Not that I needed anything, but it was nice to get out and shop a little bit with help watching Jace! We came home for Jace's nap and then relaxed, BBQed steaks and watched the all-star game!

Yesterday, we went to the pool for a couple hours in the morning! It was SO hot so we spent almost all the time in the water. Jace practiced some of the things he learned in his swim lessons like blowing bubbles, floating on his back and going under the water while holding his breath. We even brought his little floater so he could just chill in the water and play catch with Chris. We turned on the AAA all-star game last night and enjoyed a couple beers. Those three days went by so fast, but we had a great time!

And I was told by the hubs that I need to be better about posting on the blog! Ha ha!  I have been awful lately...so I'm sorry to those of you who read this a lot! I will really make an effort to be better!  Here are a few pictures from our break!
