Can't believe little Jax is already over 1 month old. This past month has flown by. We have been so busy with Chris being hone for baseball and moving into our new house that I don't know where the last four months have gone!
Jaxon has fit in perfectly with our family. It honestly like he has always been missing and not that he's here our family feels complete. We always said that we might want three kids, but we both feel like right now our two boys have completed our little family. Jace has been going really well with Jaxon, but he has been acting out A LOT more to get attention. He has been talking back, hitting, throwing tantrums...it's been so frustrationg. And to make matters worse we were staying at my parent's house (since our house wasn't done) and Chris was gone! It was exhausting! But in the past week since Chris has been home, he has been doing better.
Jace loves Jaxon....he will say "Hi, little brother." He loves his feet and always plays with his toes. And lately he has been asking to hold him and will sit there with him on the couch for a couple minutes. It's really cute. Jaxon has been pretty easy going to far!! Here are some facts about our little guy! :)
Weight: 10 lbs. 14 oz (birth weight: 7 lbs 12 oz)
Length: 23 inches (birth length: 21 inches)
Sleep?: He actually is a great sleeper at night. He will sleep from 4-5 hours when we first go to sleep and then he eats every 3 hours after that and throughout the day. I don't have to swaddle him or anything to sleep....I can literally feed him and set him down in is "Rock and Play" and he falls asleep. (A Rock and Play is a little angled bassinet) It's awesome that he already knows night from day. During the day he will stay awake for an hour or so after eating and then take a little nap. He is a huge smuggler!! So during the day he LOVES to be held!! And sometimes demands to be held! It is pretty tough when I'm trying to take care of Jace, make dinner or do anything! But when I'm able to just sit there and enjoy the snuggles it is just heaven!!
Cry?: Jaxon really doesn't cry that much...he grunts more then anything. In the middle of the night, I will hear him start to grunt and I know that means that he is getting hungry. Now if you ignore the grunts, he's not afraid to cry! But if I can catch him in those early grunts, he's a happy camper!
Likes: Snuggling, being carried in a front pack, vacuum or hair dryer noises, watching the fan
Dislikes: changing clothes, being in the car seat, not being held, laying down with hiccups
Chris being gone: These past couple months have been really tough on me. When we started trying to get pregnant, we knew there was a chance we would have an "in-season" baby, but we weren't sure if I would get pregnant the first month so we tried anyway. And guess what....first try we got pregnant! Ha ha! So with a September 7th due date I flew home August 6th with Jace....and immediately started counting down until the end of the season!! Chris finally got home about a week ago....but 3 days later he had to leave for a wedding because he was the best man. Now he's home for 3 more days and then is going on his yearly hunting trip to Washington! But after about the middle of October, I will officially have my husband back for good! I can't wait!
Healing?: I'm healing so much faster than I did with my c-section with Jace. After a couple weeks I felt awesome!! This recovery is SO much better. And in less than two weeks I go back for my 6 week appt and I should get the all clear to workout! Woo hoo! :)
Pictures: Here are some of my favorite pictures from the past month!! :)
