Here is our final monthly photo shoot of Jaxon!! I know I keep saying this, but I can not believe that he is already ONE!! Seriously, the past year went by so fast. The days felt long (especially having a baby and a three year old), but the year felt so short!
Jace vs. Jaxon!
Everyone always asks if the boys were the same as babies. They were probably exact opposites! Jaxon was such a different baby than Jace....which definitely kept me on my toes. He still doesn't always sleep through the night -- Jace slept through the night at 2 months. Jace was very independent from day 1 and didn't like to be held a lot. He would much rather be set down in a swing, in his bed, or in his bouncer. But Jaxon, no way!! He liked to be held ALL, THE, TIME! He basically lived in a front pack -- Jace never liked being carried in one of those! Jaxon never really took a pacifier, Jace lived with his for the first 18 months. Jaxon loved to sleep being held, Jace would squirm until you set him down. Jaxon always wants me in the room playing with him. Jace could have cared less where I was....he just liked playing with his toys! Jaxon is tough -- getting tackled by his brother or falling and hitting his head never phases him. Jace cried a lot more when he fell or hit his head. We call Jaxon the bull dozer because he will crawl over anything. Jaxon also has a bad habit of biting me when he wants something....that's gonna have to stop! lol. Jace and Jaxon play pretty good together....although I have to stay on Jace to be gentle! He still thinks he should be able to pick up Jaxon and wrestle with him. No yet buddy! But soon enough I think Jaxon will be pinning Jace! Jaxon also loves to climb....you can see in this picture! Jace never was really a dare devil, but I have a feeling it will be different with Jaxon!! So yeah, complete opposites!! And that makes it fun!! And challenging! But super fun!!
Here are some pictures from his little 1-year photo shoot! He got a huge cupcake that he could smash and eat. He really wasn't all that interested in it! lol. He took a couple bites but then just kept shaking the frosting off his hands (which is why there is frosting EVERY WHERE)!! He wasn't too happy this morning, but we still got some cute pictures of him! :)
Dear Jaxon,
One year ago today, I held you in my arms at 5:25pm. You came into the world in four hours....and went right into my arms. You have wanted to be in my arms ever since! You are definitely a mama's boy who loves to snuggle...and I can't say that I mind! You are determined and stubborn...so you will fit right in with our family. Lol. You love being around people and making us laugh. You are a little dare devil and I know you will constantly keep us on our toes. I can't wait to see you and Jace become closer friends as you get older. You have added so much to our family and I could never imagine our life without you! Thank you for blessing us and teaching us so much in the past year! I can't wait to see you first steps, start to hear your talk and get to know you more over the next year! I love you so much!!!
