Ummm...Wow!

It is always hard to find a fully furnished rental in Arizona because there are so many people that travel down here to get out of the cold weather. Homeowners can really charge a premium because they know it is so hard to find a nice house in a good area. Chris and I were looking for about a month and we couldn't find anything in our price range. All the houses were charging anywhere between $2300 and $3000 a month for a two bedroom fully furnished house...it was ridiculous! So we kept looking and finally found a two bedroom house about a mile away from the Seattle Mariners facility in Peoria. It was only $1600 a month...even though that still sounds high it is the best we could find and the location was perfect!! The only picture they had online was of the kitchen...and it looked really nice. So I called the realtor who was listing the property and it was available!!! Yippee!! We booked it and were so excited!!

The realtor kept saying he was going to try and get pictures of the rest of the house, but assured us that it was nice. How did he know? Well it was his ex-wife's house....interesting. We were so busy traveling to Costa, packing and house hunting that we never really pushed him to get pictures. We probably should have. We walked into the back yard, which was beautiful. It has a pool and lots of trees. The whole house is tiled throughout with nice furniture. It has two large bedrooms with two king beds...always a plus.

But then we looked at the art work. There were like 5 pictures of clowns throughout the house. Who likes clowns? That's creepy!! Here a couple of the best ones...

Needless to say, after the realtor left we went around the house and removed all of the clowns. We also took down a 4'x4' painting of a white cat that was hanging proudly above the couch in the living room. Yeah thats right....4 foot by 4 foot!!!!!

And then we walked into the master bedroom. The walls are painted an inviting shade of black. There was a huge black fuzzy faux fur blanket covering the king bed, complemented by four black fur pillows, which are all tied together by two bright red fur pillows. Wow!! Lucky for us, underneath the black blanket was a normal white, down comforter. Immediately all of the faux fur went into a spare closet. Then came the walls.....I really think they thought of this room as a "baby-making room." There were five hand drawn pictures a naked woman and one very large, sexual picture of a man and woman. Yes, all of those were removed as well.

So after about an hour of clown, cat, fur and nudity removal....we feel right at home!! Ha ha!! But in all seriousness...after we took everything down...the place is great. But I think next time I will insist on pictures before we commit to anything!! :)
