Can't believe this little man is 5 months old already!? Here are his "watch me grow" pictures and stats for 4 & 5 months! :)
4 months old!!
And starting to put everything in my mouth! :)
Such a happy boy!
Weight: 15 lbs, 8 oz.
Height: 27 inches (8 inches longer than when he was born)
Diapers: Size 3 Honest Brand diapers
Clothes: 6-9 months (6 month clothes are starting to get short and snug for this chubby guy!)
Likes:
Being carried in the front pack
Seeing us (he hates it when he can't see us)
His brother
Baths
Watching TV (he constituently stares at it, even if it's the new)
Firsts:
Rolled once from front to back....once!!
Grabbing toys
Sucking his thumb....not sure if this will stick, but he found it!
Eating: Jaxon eats great! He nurses every 3 hours during the day and then once at night! He doesn't seem to be as obsessed with eating as Jace was at that age...and sometimes he gets distracted by his brother or Max. Lol. But for the most part, he does great!
Sick!? Our household had a rough cold season. We were all sick on and off from November - February. This poor guy ended up with two ear infections. I hated to see him sick all the time, plus it really messed up his sleep schedule!
Sleep: He does not sleep as good as Jace. But I really think that all the colds that he had really messed him up. Every time we would get him on a schedule, he would get sick and that would ruin everything! He still wakes up every night once or twice....normally around 2am and then again at 5am. Sometimes he goes back to sleep at 5am and other times he is wide awake and giggling! And I think the lack of sleep has been why I have gotten so sick lately too!! I never get colds, but I was SO sick too!! Let's hope things will get better in the next couple months!
Weight: 17 lbs, 7 oz.
Height: 27 inches
Diapers: Size 3 Honest Brand diapers (but just about to move up to size 4!)
Clothes: 9 months
Likes:
Being carried in the front pack
Seeing us (he hates it when he can't see us)
Sitting in his play gym, upright
Rolling around on the ground
Max - he's obsessed! (and so is Max, it's cute!)
Baths...it's his favorite time of the day
When Jace talks to him
Talking and blowing bubbles
Firsts:
02-08-15 - Rolled over from back to front! (now he rarely stays on his back)
02-15-15 - First time in the pool
02-20-15 - First spring training and baseball season!
Sleep: Oh man!! This month hasn't been any easier....it's actually been worse! And Jace slept through the night from 2 months on, so this has been super challenging! Jaxon is now breaking out of his swaddle...which makes sense because he is getting older and stronger. But he has the hardest time falling back asleep with his arms out. Lately he has been waking up at 12:30am, 2:00am, 4:00am to eat and then again at 5:45am. It's been really frustrating!! But I'm hoping he will get used to no swaddle really soon!! The nice thing is that he isn't nursing throughout the night. So it's just a matter of teaching himself to "self soothe" and go back to bed. I wouldn't mind at this point if he really started to suck his thumb! Ha!
Thumb sucker? I really don't know. He does it occasionally. During bath time and when he just wants to play...and once he put himself back to sleep with his thumb! Woo hoo!! But so far it hasn't become an obsession. So we will see.
Teething? This guy has really started to drool all over the place! And he has been waking up a lot at night...so maybe he has some teeth on the way? Jace got his first tooth right around 6 months...so we will see! :)
Love people: Jaxon LOVES people. He is so smiley when people talk to him or look at him. It's so cute! And he truly just loves being around people, being held, talking, listening to people talk, so sweet. Jace was much more independent....he would smile at people around this age, but then would go back to what he was doing. Jaxon just wants to be a part of it! :)
Food? We haven't started Jaxon on any solids yet. But we will soon! He is SO interested in food! If he is sitting with us while we are eating, he is constantly staring at the food and trying to grab our forks. Ha ha! So I know he is curious for sure! But I didn't really want to start anything until after we moved....it's just a lot of work because they end up covered in food!! You have to basically give them a bath afterward! So I figured we would get settled for spring training and then think about starting some baby food!
