the gimenezs: Jaxon is 6 months old!

Jaxon turned 6 months old! I can not believe he is half way to his 1st birthday!! Crazy! Here are some of my favorite pictures from his monthly photo shoot. I loved so many of them that I had a hard time picking...so there are a bunch! :)

6 MONTH OLD UPDATE!

Weight: 19 lbs (76%)
Height: 27 inches (69%)

Diapers: Size 3-4 Honest Brand diapers (but just about to move up to size 4!)

Clothes: 9-12 months

Likes:
Hearing his name - he gets a huge smile on his face
Getting attention - he will make little noises until someone looks at him and then he smiles
Rolling over
Sleeping on his side
Sucking his thumb (tried to break this one - but he's winning)

Firsts:
02-26-15 - First time having food! We started with carrots! :)

Sleeping? Finally, finally, finally we have gotten Jaxon to sleep through the night. But it wasn't easy. This guy is such a snuggle bug that he hates being by himself and hates falling asleep by himself. But he started to regress....he was waking up every hour or two hours. So I hated to do it, but we had to let Jax start to cry it out. It took 3 rough nights, but now he is sleeping 10-11 hours straight! Phew!

Teething? Well...he was drooling everywhere, but now that kinda stopped. Teeth kinda push up, then go back down. So right now he's getting a little break...but I'm sure they will pop through too!

Food! Jaxon has always been very interested in food. From around 4 months he would try to grab our plates or reach for our forks. So we knew he would be excited to eat some real food. We started out with carrots...not his favorite. Then we tried sweet potatoes and pears....wow! He didn't want to stop! He's eating like a champ. And even Jace got in on the action and helped feed him. I'll post pictures of that soon!

Rolling over! Jaxon still loves to roll over from his back to his belly...but isn't took good going back the other way. He squirms a lot when he is on his tummy....kinda like he is trying to crawl. He lifts his knees up and pushes his legs back while pulling with his arms. He actually wiggled his way a few feet the other day. But I'm definitely ok with him not crawling for now! Stay put little man!

Sitting up! Jaxon is SO close to being able to sit up on his own! I try and prop him up with our little bobby pillow and he will sit up for 20-30 seconds or so until he loses his balance and falls over.

Chilling with Dad! Chris has gotten into a really fun routine with Jaxon. Every night when he gets home from the field, he takes Jaxon out on the balcony. I am normally busy getting dinner ready and Jace loves to watch me cook and get the ingredients. Or he will play with his toys! So while Jace and I are busy inside, Jaxon and Chris will sit outside and listen to music. Chris loves this band called Rebelution...and now Jaxon loves it too! And his time with dad! He actually starts kicking his legs and smiling as soon as Chris walks in the door...it's really cute!
