Golf Day

Chris, as most of you know, LOVES to golf! On nearly all of his off days last year in spring training he was out golfing with his friends. Which is great in AZ because one, the weather is nearly always amazing this time of year and two, being a baseball player has some benefits including free golf. This year we brought my clubs too! I'm still learning, but its something fun that we can go out and do together.

So the other day Chris and I went out to play 18 holes. This is only the third or fourth time that I have ever played a full round. Funny story, I nearly hit Chris is the face with a golf ball. Not kidding. I was using my pitching wedge right off of the green. Chris was standing facing me about 15 feet away and was hitting to my left...or so I thought. I took my best swing, hit the ball right off the tip of the club and went straight for Chris! It hit him square in the chest! I was so embarrassed and scared that I had hurt him. But he just laughed and said at least I know how to block a ball! Thank God he's a catcher! LOL! Needless to say he is not going to be standing anywhere close to me during our next golf outings. :)
