Well its finally tie to head down to Arizona. I'm honestly really excited to get out of the crummy weather we have been having in nor-cal and get some nice sun! We have been busy visiting with everyone before we leave and packing up the house. One of the guys Chris played with in college at UNR, Kevin Kouzmanoff, just got traded to the Oakland A's. So were going to rent out our apartment to him fully furnished during the season. So were packing up all of our pictures and personal stuff so that he can move in to a nice, clean place! :)
We will be living with Matt and Dara LaPorta when we get down to Arizona. They found a fully furnished three bedroom, two bath about 20 minutes away from the field. Its a brand new house and has a pool! Woo hoo!
I'm getting really excited to travel with Chris, its going to be so much fun this year! I think he is getting anxious for the season to start too. Everything is so up in the air with the new coaching staff and all of the new free agent players that they have gotten in the last couple months. So who knows what the next couple months will bring. But we are both excited and we'll keep praying that everything works out the way its supposed to!
We will be down there about a week early so Chris can not only show his face, but also start to work out at the complex....catching pictchers, hitting, lifting, running. It's tough being home in Dublin because he doesn't have a baseball facility to work out at. So he has either been going down to Gilroy to play with Gavilan's baseball team...or he goes to a local batting cage here in San Ramon. I've also tried to get out there and play catch with him and through him whiffle balls! Ha ha! But I think he is ready for some real baseball.
