Chris got home last night after his week of hunting. He had a great time up there being all "manly" and spending time with his family. He just loves it in Pomeroy. The guys bought five tags and left with five deer...one mule deer and 4 white-tail deer. So it was a very successful trip. Chris made it back just in time too! The SF Giants are one game away from heading to the World Series! One of Chris' best friends, Bobby, works for the Giants and was able to get Chris a ticket to the game! I am so jealous...but so excited that he made it home in time to go! And even more exciting, the starting pitchers are Lincecum and Halladay! It doesn't get much better than that...well maybe if Chris was playing on one of those teams! :)
Chris is going to fit right in with the SF fans. He grew out a beard to go hunting and still hasn't shaved it! It's fully grown in now! And it will be perfect for the game tonight. A lot of the fans have been growing out beards to support the team slogan "fear the beard." Brian Wilson, the Giants closer, was the first one who grew out and dyed his beard. Now there are a few players on the team that are sporting the grizzly-man look. They even sell fake beards at the stadium for fans to wear during the game. I took a picture of Chris this morning to compare with a picture of Brian Wilson! Ha ha! So perfect!!! He's going to have a blast!
