...no AC! When I started looking for apartments 6 months ago I was surprised to find out that most apartment complexes do not have air conditioning! Since the weather is so mild in Seattle most of the year, they figure their tenants don't need it! But we would have given anything to have some AC this summer! Our apartment is on the top floor, on the sunny side of the building! During the hot summer days, our apartment easily got over 90 degrees!! We would open the windows at night and then close the windows and blinds in the morning...but it still got so hot!
The funny thing is that there is AC in the hallways!! So our hallway is a cool 75 degrees...while our apartment is a stuffy 90 degrees!! I don't know why they didn't just put the AC in the apartments too?? Who knows! Well when it started to get really hot, we noticed some of our neighbors putting fans in their front door pointing away from the hallway to pull the AC in their apartments! As it got hotter and hotter...we started to do the same thing! While it never cooled down our entire space...it definitely helped! Max even enjoyed laying in front of the door to cool off...poor guy!

Well we don't have to worry about being hot anymore...Seattle's summer seems to be completely over! The leaves are already starting to change colors and the highs are only in the high 60's...fall has arrived! But we are actually all enjoying the change and our cooler apartment as a result!! :)
