Chris and I had to make a tough decision. We had to decide if we were going to sell Chris' old truck or keep it as an extra vehicle. We both love this truck. When I first met Chris 9 years ago he was driving this truck. He had this truck all through college, playing in the minors and it even drove him to the field in Cleveland when we first got called up to the big leagues. But we have Chris' new F-150 and my Explorer...so we really didn't need it. Plus, it costs money to keep it...the registration and insurance every year really starts to add up. So we decided to sell it.
Well this past Saturday I had a couple hours so I decided to take pictures of the "silver bullet" and post it on craigslist. We were only asking $2,000.....it was only worth $2,500 according to kelly blue book, so we figured that was a good starting point. So I posted the pictures and information on craigslist and within a couple minutes I FOUR EMAILS!!! I was so surprised. So I told Chris and we called back the first two contacts. Both of them wanted to immediately come over to the house to test drive our truck, really?? So we told both of them to come by. Within 30 minutes I had 10 emails! We had no idea we were going to get a response like that. We decided to wait to call back any other people until we heard from these first two people.
The first couple showed up within 20 minutes. They looked the car up and down and then asked to take it for a test drive. They were gone for about 25 minutes driving the car, got out of the car and said "sold!" I looked at Chris with my mouth wide open!! I could not believe it!! We seriously had the truck sold in less then two hours....it was that easy!
Although it is so nice that we sold it so quickly, it was really sad to say good bye to the old truck. So in honor of the silver bullet....I thought I would do a special blog post for him. Here are the pictures that I posted on craiglist. Good bye silver bullet...we will miss you.
