New Years means one more month!

I can't believe it, but we only have one more month before we head down to Arizona for spring training. The off season has gone by so fast. I feel like in the last three months we have been attempting to make up for the 8 months we are gone during the year...seeing all of our family, spending time with our friends and then you add the holidays? It makes the off season feel like three weeks. And now we are getting ready to go on our big family vacation to Costa Rica for 12 days! When we get back its time to pack and go say our good byes to our family and friends again. So sad.

Chris is starting to feel like its time to get his body ready for another season too. We have been working out 5-6 times a week since we got home, but now he needs to get in baseball shape which is a little different. He needs to start playing catch to get his arm in shape. I try to get out there with him in the parking lot of our condo and throw with him...I may only be a former volleyball player, but I have a pretty good arm!! Ha ha! He also starts running sprints, hitting in the batting cage, try to catch bull pens with pitchers in the area, and doing catching drills. We even set up a whiffle ball net in the grass outside our front door so he can take full swings.

We found a fully furnished condo just 5 minutes away from Seattle's spring training facility in Arizona. It looks really nice and even has a pool! Yippee! I definitely ready for some warm weather...it's been a little chilly here in Dub-town lately. Spring training is also a great time for Chris and I to work on our golf swings. Chris only has half days for the first couple weeks so we have time to play golf in the afternoon. But we can't have too much fun, spring also means that I start another semester of my MBA! Ugggg!!! At least it keeps me busy, but I have definitely been enjoying this month off!

So as we get ready to say good bye, I just want all of our friends and family to know how much we will miss them. Here's to 2011! Happy New Years!!
