8 Years Ago...

On this day, 8 years ago, Chris and I became a couple!  Here's how we met.  We were both sophmores in college at the University of Nevada.  Chris played baseball and I played volleyball...so it was just a matter of time before we met because all of the athletes kind of stuck together.  The first time we met was at a party one weekend.  His friend Tony introduced us...and let's just say it wasn't love at first sight.  Chris said some stupid one-liner and I basically walked away!  Ha ha!  But lucky for both of us we got another chance.  We ended up sitting next to each other at a UNR basketball game and that is when I fell in love with Chris.  We talked and flirted and I remember thinking this is exactly the type of guy that I want to be with.  There was just something about him....he was just one of the most genuine, loving, and fun person I had ever met...and he still is!  After the game as we were standing up, I was praying that he was tall!  Lucky for me, we are exactly the same height.  If he was only 5'9" I don't know what would have happened!!  

Then I lost him!  We never got each other's phone numbers and the baseball team went on the road for three weeks straight.  I never saw him on campus or anything!  I was so sad because all I wanted to do was see this guy again again.  Finally, we ran into each other in our academic advisor's office.  Totally random...but Chris finally got my number and we ended up seeing each other again.  So after a couple months we became a couple on March 5, 2003.   The picture above is from our one year anniversary!  :)
