After we moved into our house last year, Chris and Max spent many of their afternoons taking walks up the big hill behind our house. Every walk they would go by all the wild Mustangs that live up there. It took a while for Max to feel comfortable with them...at first he would dig in his heels and refuse to go near them. But now he acts like he is going to herd them!! Now, Chris has to make sure that Max doesn't get too close and get kicked by them!! Ha ha!!
This year we walked up there a couple times, but not nearly as often as Chris did last year. One time this year we were able to take my cousins, Dawn and Jayleen! Jayleen took some awesome pictures of the horses, the view, and of course, Jace all bundled up in the stroller!

Well walking up part of the hill was not enough for Chris....he wanted to take Max to the top. 6700 feet up!! I thought he was crazy....I'm not much of a hiker, but he really wanted to do it. So the other day, with water, snacks and a back pack, Chris and Max set off for their hike. Chris left me a pair of binoculars so that I could watch them going up the hill from our back door! He ended up driving up a third of the way and then hiking the rest, but it still took them three hours to get up and back!! Max loved every minute ad still had energy when he got back!! Chris took some amazing pictures of the view at the top....here are some of my favorites!
