Fun weekend with the Streelmans!

We were so lucky to have a couple of our closet friends from college come and stay with us over the weekend...Erick and Erica Streelman. Chris played baseball with Erick at UNR. I met Erica while at the games we ended up living together during my last two years of college. We have stayed in touch over the years and Erica was even in our wedding this past November. But I feel like all we do when people are out here is EAT! And thats exactly what we did with the Streelmans. On Saturday night we took to our favorite sushi place Kabuki! It was a amazing and between the 4 of us we probably ate 10 rolls plus extra shrimp, tuna and miso soup. Then afterward we took them to our favorite fro-yo shop out here called Berry Good. They loved it and we were all so full! Then the next day we took them to one of Chris' favorite restaurants called Fogo De Chao. It is a Brazilian steak house...and its all you can eat. So the waiters walk around with different cuts of meat and they will serve you as much or as little of everything you want. It is delicious. And some how after rolling out of the restaurant we got the bright idea that we should go get frozen yogurt again! I was so full by the end of the night! But it was so good to catch up with them! They are such great friends. They are living in Anaheim now...they just bought a condo and Erica has been using her decorating skills to make it feel like home. We are hoping to see them in a couple months when the Indians play the Angels! :)

Baseball update....Well the Indians suffered they're first two losses of the season during the last couple days. Chris has been getting a lot more playing time, but mostly in left field. Defensively he has been doing great! But offensively he hasn't gotten a hit in a few games. But since it is so early in the season and he has so few at bats he is only 3 hits away from hitting .300. He is heading to Tucson today and will be starting in left field. So I will be praying that he gets a hit and gets out of his little itty bitty slump! Go G!! :)
