The Indians are kicking butt in spring training so far! They have won 5 games and tied 2 in their first games this spring. That's awesome considering they only won 8 games last year! They're offense has been on fire and they have scored over 5 runs every game. It looks like a completely different team then last year...and for the most part it is! They traded away so many of their players last year and brought in so many free agents during the off season that I am still learning names and positions. Let's hope they keep it up! :)
We had a great week, despite the cold weather! At Tuesday's game I was literally in a sweater, winter jacket and boots....and I was still freezing! And they don't sell hot chocolate at the field...apparently its not a hot seller in Arizona. LOL! So I just had to sit there and suck it up!
Chris' great aunt Peggy and uncle Bill were out visiting most of the week. They were able to come to three of Chris' games. We had a great time visiting with them....and even went to dinner with them one night at Claim Jumpers. That restaurant really is good...I had forgotten how much I liked it there! We even shared a piece of they're gigantic chocolate cake....so delicious!!
Erick and Erica got here last night around 11:30pm. It took them 8 hours to get here from Anaheim....I definitely don't miss the traffic down there! It's going to be so nice visiting with them this weekend. We are planning to go to sushi and fro-yo...which is a Gimenez/Streelman tradition. Chris is going to try and get in touch with some of the other UNR baseball players that are down here...Kevin Kouzmanoff and Chris Dickerson are both down here for spring training. So it will be a little UNR reunion. :)
