Professional Dog-sitters :)

We have been lucky enough over the past couple weeks to dog-sit not only one, but two adorable little dogs.

First there was Dennis. Dennis is Frank Herrmann's puggle (beagle, pug mix). Frank and his fiance were out of town and needed someone to watch Dennis for a couple days. I volunteered because for one, I have nothing really going on...two, Chris was out of town...and three, I think Puggles are adorable! We had a great time! Dennis was very mellow and well behaved and I really enjoyed his company. He was very dependent and would follow me all over the house. Even at night I couldn't keep him off of my bed, but I really didn't mind. The only bad thing is that he was a bigger bed hog than Chris is! Ha ha!

Then came Guiness. Guiness belongs to Jordan and Mendi Brown. He is a three-month-old Wheaten Terrier and he looks like a little teddy bear. Such a cutie pie. However, he is still being trained so we had a couple accidents. And he would chew everything in sight...blankets, shoes, the corner of the wall! LOL! He was funny too because he was petrified to go down stairs. We have a bunch of stairs in our little apartment. He would walk up the stairs but then he couldn't come down. I would try to pick him up he would dig his feet in the floor as if he was saying, "I'm not going down those HUGE stairs." But he ended up getting the hang of it!

It's been fun spending time with the different dog breeds. Now if Chris and I decide to get a dog we will have a better idea of what we want and the amount of work its going to be! :)

  1. So happy you were able to test drive a puggle. They are great dogs. High energy & beg hogs but still great! Hang with the puggle posse until you get your own. =)
