"Shop With a Pro"

On Saturday morning we volunteered to help out with the Indians charity, "Shop With a Pro." The Indians teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club to give 20 kids the chance to go shopping with one of the players. This year they held the event at Macy's. We met there around 11am with a bunch of other players and their wives. Then they split us up so that each "celebrity" had a few kids. Chris and I were grouped with two boys, one was 15-years-old and the other was 11-years-old. They were both so much fun! We ran around Macy's for 45 minutes grabbing them shorts, shirts, shoes...anything they wanted. They each had $75 to spend. You could tell they were both so excited and nervous...not only to meet Chris but to also spend $75 on anything they wanted. I was a little jealous! Ha ha! We think it's so cool that we are given opportunities to give back to the community in different ways....whether doing baseball camps, autograph signings or events like we did on Saturday. Very fun!
