Family Time in Washington :)

Chris had a bunch of family that came to the Seattle Mariners series last weekend. It was the first time that we had seen this side of the family since our wedding last November. His grand parents, Dale and Norma, and cousins, Tom, Linda and Lindsay all drove over from the east side of the state. His aunt and uncle, Bill and Peggy, drove up from Medford, Oregon. His other aunt and uncle, Jerry and Cindy, drove up from Albany, Oregon with their two daughters, Valerie and PJ. And Chris' best friend Bobby and his girlfriend Casey flew up from San Francisco! It was a great group of people! Chris is so lucky to have so many people that come from all over the country to support him!

I was not prepared for the weather! I looked up the weather before we left Cleveland, but to be honest I forgot was 60 degrees felt like! The warmest it got in Seattle last weekend was 72, but during the game it cooled off to the 60's. I was telling Chris we have gone from Maui, to Venezuela, to Arizona, to summer in Ohio...I don't know what cold weather is anymore! But it definitely felt like fall the whole trip out west! I had to go buy a couple sweaters and a jacket just to get me through the trip. And thank goodness Seattle gave away Mariner's blankets one night too! :)

Since Chris goes to the field so early in the day, it was hard for him to spend too much time with everyone. But we made it work. On Friday, we went to lunch with all of his family that was in town. We went to The Cheesecake Factory...always a favorite! And one night we went and got drinks with Bobby and Casey in "Bell Town"....a fun area in downtown with lots of bars and restaurants. Check out the pic...we took a cab there...and Chris couldn't figure out how to move the seat back. He was folded in a pretzel in the front seat while the three of us were spread out in the back of the cab. Ha ha! It was really fun night!

On Sunday afternoon, before the last game, Chris got Grandpa Dale a media pass. The pass allowed him to go down on the field while Chris took batting practice. Chris really enjoyed having his grandpa down so close while he hitting...and I think grandpa Dale enjoyed it too! He had a huge smile on his face the whole time! :)

We took some great family pictures this weekend...so I attached a bunch of them below! They were just so good not to! Oh and check out Lindsay's amazing jersey...with Gimenez on the back! Love it! Thanks to Cindy and Linda for sharing the pictures they got too! :)
