We celebrated early...

We decided to celebrate our one-year anniversary just a couple days early. We are going to our friends' destination wedding in Cabo in a few days and we didn't want to bring our gifts with us. So we spent the other night doing all the traditional first year stuff. We went to an amazing Italian restaurant in downtown Pleasanton called Pasta Trattoria. It was amazing!! The service was great, the food was delicious and we shared an excellent bottle of wine! Then we headed home to open gifts. We both got each other something "techy." Chris got me an amazing Nikon camera!!! Just in time for our vacation!! (Now if I could only figure out how to use it!) And I got Chris an iPad...which he hasn't put down since he opened it! We didn't really stick with the "paper" gifts did we? After that, we each took the traditional bite of one-year old wedding cake that had been strategically wrapped up in the freezer. It was actually really good...surprisingly!! I had a couple bites and thought it tasted just fine. Chris wasn't that impressed. Ha ha! But all-in-all it was a fun night and a great way to celebrate our first year of marriage!
