Chris hasn't played baseball in Reno since he was drafted from the University of Nevada in 2004 by the Cleveland Indians. But the Tacoma Rainiers just happened to be making a four-day stop in our old stomping grounds! Chris had at least 30 people there watching him the first night between all of our family and friends! My mom had just happened to plan my baby shower for the same weekend...it couldn't have worked out any better. So after the baby shower, half of the people that were there just went straight to the ball park. Even though Chris was on the visiting team...he had a huge group of people cheering him on every time he was at bat. It was so cool! He played really well too and hit his first home run of the year!! His oblique has been feeling great so far too...he says it hasn't bothered him at all since he has started playing again! What a blessing! I hope he keeps this up so he can get called up in September and play with the Mariners again for another month before the season is over!
