Reno Baby Shower

Last week while we were in Reno moving into our house, my mom threw us an amazing baby shower!  My mom really knows how to throw a party...the decorations were beautiful, the food was amazing and we spent the afternoon playing games and enjoying the Reno sunshine.  My mom was able to convince my brother to bake five quiches...and they were amazing!!  He is such a great cook!  My mom also hired her favorite caterer, Casey, who made a couple yummy salads and a huge fruit salad!  Delicious!  And then for dessert my mom order mini bundt cakes from a place in reno called Nothing Bundt Cakes.  These little cakes might have been the best desserts ever!  I might have had two!!  They were so yummy!

We went outside and played a few games too.  It was really hot that day, so everyone tried to stay cool under the shade tents, but it was still pretty warm!  Ever since I've been pregnant, I have a hard time cooling off once I'm hot!  But before I got pregnant, I could never get enough heat!  Ha ha!  My mom had people guess how big my stomach was by using a piece of string.  The person with the string that was the closest won!  Then, my best friend Amanda and her mom, Barbara put together a tray of weird looking baby items and everyone had to guess what each was used for!  Some of them were really hard to figure out!!  I guess I still have a lot of learning to do.  :)

Then we went inside to cool off, eat some of the amazing dessert and open gifts.  We got some amazing gifts for our little man....lots of clothes, blankets, bibs, but also some of our big gifts...our pack and play, car seat and rocker!!  Great Grandma Gimenez even gave us diapers for a year!!  Such an awesome gift!!  It was so fun to see everyone and spend some time in Reno!!  Thank you so much for everyone who made this day so special!!  :)
