Last week we started the week in Peoria, AZ and Chris was playing for the Mariners. Now we're living in Port Charlotte, FL and Chris is playing for the Rays! For most people this would seem ridiculous...and it definitely is...but for us baseball families it's just another day on the job. Teams don't care if you've already moved, are traveling with a baby, already paid rent, or love living on the west coast...it's a business and they have to what is best for their team. It's just a part of the game! While last week was extremely disappointing, it wasn't the end of the world. Chris had a handful of other teams that were interested in him playing for them...it's always nice to have options. After a lot of deliberation, Chris decided that he wanted to play for Tampa. He felt like he had the best chance to earn a starting spot...which is of course the ultimate goal. Spring training for the Rays starts this Tuesday and Chris will be one of 59 guys fighting for the 25 big league spots. It's definitely going to be an exciting spring training!
Thank you for all you prayers and words of encouragement! We definitely feel like this is where we should be this year! And God has already blessed us with a place to live, a free vehicle to drive and a great team to play for!! While there was a lot of stress getting to this point I have to remember how much we have blessed at the same time! Go Rays!

Congrats on your move to Florida. You will thrive with your new team. Connect with Steve Vogt- great kid from Visalia. Have fun!!! Phil Vannette-KADALAK- (Alicia's Dad)
