the gimenezs: 11 months old!

11 months old!! I still can't believe it as a type it....where has time gone!? I can not believe that in one month my little man is going to be 1 year old!! Tear! This past month has been my favorite yet. Jace is really starting learn and remember things this month, but that also means that he knows what he wants! Which can be cute when he wants avocados instead of baby food, but not so cute when he wants to be held when I'm trying to get ready! Ha ha! Here are some pictures from our photo shoot and more fun facts about the last month!

Height: 31 inches

Weight: 22 lbs.

Diapers: Still size 3....but I think we are about to move on up to 4s!

Clothes: Fits into all 12 month clothes, I've started buying 18 month now. They are still a little big, but he grows so fast he will be in them in no time.

Jace is pretty smart...I'm only slightly biased. A couple weeks ago Chris and I were hanging out with him in the living room and he started crawling away. So Chris joked and said, "Well, see you later!" And Jace turns around, waves then turns back around to keep crawling! We both looked at each other with huge eyes! We had no idea that he even knew what "see you later" meant, let alone that he knew he should wave. So funny! And it's so true that they really know more then you think!

Signing time!
We have been signing with Jace since he was like 7 months old. So every time we would eat we would repeatedly do the signs for eat, more, drink, and all done. I was seriously getting sick of it and thought that maybe Jace would never pick it up. Then all of a sudden a couple weeks ago I asked him if wanted more and he signed "more!" What?!?! I didn't believe my eyes so I asked him again, "do you want more?" And sure enough he signed "more" again! Since then he consistently signs eat, drink, more, all done and up! And now he will also point at the food he wants. So if I'm feeding him baby food and he wants avocado, he will point at the bowl of avocado. It's nice to know all the hard work paid off!

The Walker
About a week ago we pulled out a walker for Jace to play with. At first he just kinda played with it, then it started pulling up on it, then all of a sudden he figured out...completely on his own...that if he pushes it he can walk!! It took him literally five minutes to get the hang of it and then he was ALL over the place! And he would cry if he ran into the wall and couldn't walk anymore! I have a feeling this is going to be just the jump start he needs to get him wanting to start walking!
