Tonight marked the last game of the 162 game season. This year of baseball was one of the craziest that I have experienced with Chris...and probably the craziest of Chris' career. We started the year playing for the Mariners, moved 6 times, played for 2 different teams and tried to figure out this lifestyle with our first child, Jace. While it sounds crazy, and it was, Chris was able to put all of that behind him and come out of the year with his best season ever. He finished the year for triple A Durham hitting .310 with 10 home runs and 49 rbis! When he got called up in September we were hoping that he would be able to carry that over into the last month of the big league season. He played his heart out this past month. He hit .406, with 1 home run and 5 rbis in the 18 games he played!! He was also able to raise his big league average from .191 to .260!! I could not be more proud of him. It is such a blessing to see him succeed....Chris you are amazing!
All that being said, I have a lot of fun stories and pictures to share with you from the past couple weeks. We took a four day trip to Chicago to watch Chris play (so many stories from that trip) had family day at the field with all the players where I got some great pictures of Jace and Chris on the field! Things always get so crazy at the end of the season so I'm sorry I haven't posted anything recently. But I will try to get you all caught up on what has been going on with us in the next few posts. Stay tuned!

So glad Chris had such a good year! Have a good and restful offseason!
