In less than three weeks we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl! I feel like from day one that has been the question...what do you think you are having? From the beginning we both thought we were having a girl. I'm not sure why, but I just have a feeling its a little girl. Chris, on the other hand, thinks he is really unlucky. Since he really wants a boy, he will get a girl because of his "bad" luck. Of course he would love a little girl, but he just really wants to have a boy first.
Then at our 12 week ultrasound, the tech hinted that she thought it was a boy. I was so surprised to hear that because I really thought it was a girl. But I still don't believe her 100% because can you really tell that early? Who knows! There are just so many wives tales about how to tell if your having a boy or a girl...here are a few of favorites. Just to make it fun, I answered each one about myself. Any of you have any guesses? :)
Wives tale: If the baby's heart beat is above 140 it's a girl and below 140 it's a boy.
Girl! Our last ultrasound the heartbeat was right at 150!
Wives tale: Chinese Gender Calendar (predicts sex based on mom's age and conception month)
Boy! Age 27, Conception month March!
Wives tale: If your craving sweets it's a girl, if your craving salty food it's a boy.
Girl! I have been loving ice cream, cookies, brownies...anything sweet!
Wives tale: Even or odd? If the mother's age and the year of conception are both are odd or even it's a girl and if one is odd and one is even then it's a boy.
Girl! I was 27 at conception in the year 2011.
Wives tale: If you have morning sickness it's a girl and no morning sickness it's a boy.
Boy! I didn't get morning sickness at all during the beginning of my pregnancy! Thank goodness!
Wives tale: If the mom is breaking out during pregnancy it is a girl because the baby is "stealing" the mom's beauty. If you have a clear face, it's a boy.
Girl! I'm breaking out like a 14 year old! Ha ha!
We will just have to wait a few more weeks to know for sure! Can't wait!
