It's a BOY!!!

Yesterday we went to the doctor for our 18 week appointment and we found out that we will be having a little boy!  I'm so excited!  And Chris is, of course, really happy too!  He has always talked about having a son that he can play sports with and wrestle with...and it looks like he is going to get his wish!

When we went in for the ultrasound, the tech asked us if we would like to know what were having.  We both said "yes!"  So then she started her examine.  Within 5 seconds she was like, "Well your baby is anxious for you to know what it is.  You're having a boy!"  Chris and I gave each other a high five and then he stood up with his hands over his head and said, "Yes!"  It was really cute!

Our little man!

Then the tech went on to measure the rest of the baby.  She measured the arms, legs, hands and feet.  I know its early, but that little boy sure looks like he has Chris' hands and feet!  The tech even said, "Look at those little Flinstone feet!"  And Chris was like, "Those are mine."  Ha ha!  She said right now the femur and the feet are the same size...which is totally normal for this stage.  So the little man has a 1 inch long femur and 1 inch long feet!  Too funny!

Hello world!

Then she measured his brain, heart, stomach, bladder, bowels, and kidneys.  They said everything looked great.  The ultrasound doctor (different then my OB-GYN) came in after the tech was done to talk to us about the results.  She said everything looked perfectly normal.  Then she said, "Well you definitely have a big baby!"  Wait...what, back up.  Big baby?  Oh no.  I mean I know were both tall, but at this stage in the game I don't want the doctor telling me he's big already!  Chris was 10 pounds when he was born...and I personally don't want a baby that size!  Ha ha!! Oh well...I guess I'm in for it!  Chris and I are both tall...so hopefully that's what she meant because there is definitely a difference between big and tall!  I guess we will find out!  But I am just so thankful that he is healthy!

18 weeks 1 day

My belly is definitely growing!
