the gimenezs: 9 Months Old!

Jace is turning 9 months old today! This past month Jace has changed so much! He is becoming much more active...he has mastered his military crawl, has started regular crawling, is pulling himself up to stand and has started cruising around his crib and furniture! Can we slow down a little bit Jacer? He just has a desire to explore...he is so curious and wants to see/touch everything. I wouldn't be surprised if the little man tried to start walking in the next month or so (we are so in for it!). Here are his 9 month pics with his bear and some more fun facts about the past month! :)

Height: 29 in.

Weight: 20 lb. 6 oz.

Clothes: All 12 month sizes!

Diapers: Size 3

Firsts this month:
- Clapping (07-21-12)
- Third tooth (07-20-12)
- Fourth tooth (07-23-12)
- Standing up in his crib (08-09-12)
- Crawling (08-12-12)

Likes:
- Standing up
- Music
- Being tickled
- Being thrown in the air
- Eating
- Feeding himself
- Avocado....he finally likes it!

Dislikes:
-Stanger danger....he's becoming a little weary of strangers (something our pediatrician said would happen, hopefully it's a short lived stage.)

Sleeping:
Jace is still sleeping 12 hours straight through the night! Yippee! And he normally takes two 2-hour naps a day. He is great about going down for his naps too. Once he starts looking tired I just take him into his room/the walk-in closet, and lay him down. He might fuss for a few minutes, or even pull himself up and "cruise" around the crib for awhile, but he will eventually lay down and put himself to sleep. It's amazing!

Clapping:
Jace learned how to clap this month. So fun! He will clap when he sees or hears other people clapping. So you guessed it....at the games when the crowd cheers so does Jace. But he doesn't just clap, he also does his signature yell! If you missed the yell video, check it out here.

More teeth:
Jace got two more teeth this month....his two front teeth! Now when he smiles we get to see these two cute, little, crooked teeth popping through! I think it gives him even more personality (is that possible?) and they are just adorable! You can kind of see them in this picture.

Pulling up:
Since we got back from Reno Jace has been obsessed with standing up! That's all he wants to do. If we are playing on the floor he will reach out for my hands so that he can pull himself up. Then, he started pulling himself up in his crib. Now when he wakes up in the morning or from a nap he is normally waiting for me standing up! It's really cute! But he is a little dare devil...so I have to watch him. He will try to pull up on anything and sometimes it's not the safest...the other day he pulled himself up on his bouncer! The bouncer is not stable at all...I'm not sure how he was able to balance well enough to pull himself up but he did! I'm gonna have to keep an eye on this guy!

Mr. Fix-it:
Jace is such a typical guy! He loves to turn his toys upside-down and look at all the screws. It's so funny! He is also obsessed with door stoppers, hinges, the hardware on the cabinets in the bathroom. Here are a couple pictures of him investigating his toys. :)

Crawling:
Jace has been military crawling since he was 7 1/2 months old. He was so good at it that I thought maybe he wouldn't even try to do the traditional crawl, but he proved me wrong. The other day while we were hanging out in the living room he just decided to crawl to the couch....excuse me? When did you learn this one buddy? Maybe it was from watching his friend Payton crawl around all the time. Here is a short little video of Jace showing off his new skill! :)
