Our Mini Vacation for Christmas...Feliz Navidad! :)

Starting on Christmas Eve, Chris has three days off before the playoffs begin. We decided that instead of sitting at the hotel we should get out and see some of Venezuela. :) Early on Christmas Eve we're flying to Margarita, a small island off the coast of Venezuela. The travel coordinator for the team helped us find a really nice all-inclusive resort called Hesperia Playa del Agua! We will be there for three nights and then will fly back early on December 27th, Chris' birthday. I posted some pictures below of the hotel where were staying, but we will definitely take a bunch of pictures once we get there. Were really miss being away from our families during this time of year, but we will definitely have some great memories of our first Christmas together as Mr. and Mrs. Gimenez! :)







Chris and I had a great morning today. We got up and went downstairs for breakfast. We're really getting to know the girls that work in the restaurant. They all smile when we come in and they teach us Spanish and we teach them English...its makes it fun. Lately, we have both been getting omelettes.....they make them to order and they are really good. Then we went to the gym and did our "biceps and back" workout....it was really tough today! But we are done early enough that we can relax and watch some TV before Chris has to the go to the field. Chris brought an external hard drive with 300+ movies and TV Series that we can hook up and watch on the TV. So we started watching seasons of The Office and Lost. We're so hooked! And the best part is that we don't have to wait a week to watch the next episode and there are no commericials! :) We have a game tonight and a game tomorrow and then off to paradise! I can't wait! Feliz Navidad!

Day 24 done...24 days left! Half way there!!! :)
