Want to follow a Los Leones game online?

The other night I was watching Chris' game at our hotel. The team was on the road about 5 hours away playing Los Tigres. They were so far away that they didn't even broadcast the game on TV. So I turned on a movie and just followed the game day tracker on my computer to see how Chris played. As I was watching I started thinking that maybe some other people would want to follow his games too. So here is how you find the tracker...

- Go to www.leones.com (the website will be in spanish)
- In the top, middle of the page click on "Play by play"
- Click on the blue box that says "Entrar al Play by Play"

This is available every day that Los Leones have a game...but just remember that we are 3:30 hours ahead of Pacific time. The Game Day tracker is actually the same one that they have for all minor league and major league games. Its really nice because it shows every pitch and every play...so you can really get an idea of whats going on in the game. Also, if you want to check Chris' stats you can find them on the same website. Just do the following...

- Go to www.leones.com
- Click on "Estadisticas" and it will bring down a drop down menu
- Click on "Estadisticas de Leones" and it will bring down two options
- Click on "bateo" for batting stats OR click on "pitcheo" for pitching stats

Now its pretty self explanatory, but some of the stats are in spanish. So just in case you have trouble figuring it out here is what each of the batting stats means in English.

POS = Position
JJ = Games Played
VB = At bats
C = Runs
H - Hits
2B = Doubles (same)
3B = Triples (same)
HR = Homerun (same)
CI = RBI
BA = Total Bases
BB = Walk (same)
SO = Strikeout (same)
BR = Stolen Bases
OR = Caught Stealing
PE = On Base Percentage
SLG = Slugging Percentage (same)
AVE = Batting Average
OPS = On Base Plus Slugging (same)
E = Error

Hope that helps! Chris is on the road again tonight playing Los Cardinals. He told me this morning that he thinks that he is playing third base. He hasn't played there in a long time! But I'm glad that the coaching staff is letting him play other positions so that he stills feels comfortable other places. The game should be broadcast at the hotel, so I'm excited to watch! Hopefully this field will be nice so the ball doesn't take an nasty hops!

Oh, and exciting news for me...I just signed up for three MBA (Master's in Business Administration) classes for the spring. I will be starting at Colorado State University on January 19th! The entire program is online so I can do it from wherever we are...Arizona, Ohio, or California. This has been a goal that I have had for years and I'm so excited to finally get the opportunity to complete it! Wish me luck!!

Day 20 down...28 days left!!! :)

  1. Glad to see you guys are having fun!

    I think PE is OBP... not sure how it translates though. Percentaje exitoso? OPS is "on base plus slugging," one of the new fancy sabermetric stats.
