Bat stuck in the net...really?

The other day at the field...something happened that Chris had never seen ever at a baseball game. Jose Constanza was up to bat for the Clippers. While he was swinging, he accidently let go of his bat and it flew in the air and went directly through one of the holes of the net hanging behind home plate. It went about half way through the hole and was stuck....floating in the net. And it was pretty high, just high enough to stay out of reach of the fans below. It took about 10 minutes for the field crew and fans to finally figure out a way to get it out. They basically ended up pulling the net down over the fans until they could pull it out. And even when they were finally able to reach it, it took some force to pull it out. So funny! :)

  1. That's crazy! The odds are SOOO small. I love it when stuff like that happens. How long was the game delayed? I love that it was the fans that ended up getting it down - awesome souvenir!
