World War II Memorial in DC!

While we were in Washington DC, we visited the World War II Memorial. This is one of the newest memorials in DC...it was built in 2004 placed directly in between the Washington Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial. The area is in the shape of an oval and has 56 pillars surrounding the memorial representing the 50 states and 6 territories of the US. We all took pictures next to the states we live in. There is a wall with 4,000 gold stars and each star represents 1,000 deaths. It was really beautiful and powerful memorial!
