Boarding Max! (Tear!)

This past weekend we had to board Max for four nights!  Chris and I were both heading down to San Diego for the four game series versus the Padres.  And I was secretly hoping to get some sun!  He he!  It was the first time that Max has ever spent the night away from us where he hasn't stayed with our family.  We decided to take him the the Petsmart Pets Hotel.  It is located right inside the Petsmart store.  It is really clean and the people that work there are so nice!  Before I boarded him, I took him there one day for doggie day-care to make sure he would like it.  He loved it!  They let the dogs play with other dogs the same size all day!  So he was entertained by 16 other small dogs for 8 hours.  He didn't even want to leave that first day!  So we decided that would work for us to board him!

One of the girls who works there also owns a mini aussie....so she said she would give him some extra attention for us.  Who knows if she really did, but it made me feel better about leaving him there.  They also encourage you to call and check on your dog throughout the week.  So I called a couple times and every time I called they were like "Oh, Max?  The mini aussie?  Oh, he's doing great!  Playing great with all the dogs and everyone here just loves him!"  Ok, I like to think that Max is pretty cute, but no shot that they know him by name.  So I'm pretty sure that they have a list of every dog name and breed that is boarding there so when the owners call to check on them they can quickly reassure them that everything is fine!  Ha ha!  But it worked, I felt completely confident that Max was ok!

One of our friends, Jessica, also boards her dog there.  She and her husband have a bull dog named Romeo who is adorable!  She picked up Romeo the day before I got home, so she snapped a quick picture of Max inside of the "play pen."  So cute!

"Hi mom and dad!  Just playing!"
The day I picked him up I also scheduled for him to get a bath (you know, clean off all the other dog slobber from the past four days) and get a hair cut!  His hair was getting so long and needed to be cleaned up around the edges.  So when I went to pick him up yesterday he was all clean and smelled amazing!  I think we will definitely use Petsmart again!  :)

First hair cut! :)
