Beach Day!

Before spring training was over we took Jace to the beach for the first time.  But we didn't just take him to any beach...we took him to Siesta Key, one of the best beaches in the world!  We put Jace in a wet suit top and swin trunks for his beach debut.  We covered him in sunscreen, put on a hat and had his sunglasses just in case it was too bright.  We didn't have an umbrella to cover him up, but we used a chair and a towel to at least give him some shade.  The sand is literally white and felt like flour under our feet.  It was so soft!  We kept Jace out of the sand for now, we figured he wouldn't really care and it would just be more for us to clean up later.  We took a bunch of pictures...and in most of the pictures Jace does not look like he is enjoying himself in the 85 degree weather!  Ha ha!

We decided to cool him off we were going to put his feet in the ocean.  The water was nice and cool so we thought he would love it.  Well, let me remind you, our little boy hates being cold.  Chris barely had his feet in the water when a big wave came and got them both wet!  Jace stuck out his lip and started crying!   Ha ha!  So we didn't dunk him any more...we didn't want to make him mad.  So we made our way back to our beach towels and laid down for a little while.  Jace only lasted about an hour total at the beach before he was ready to leave and take a nap.  So we packed up our stuff and left after only one hour!  Ha ha!  But it was fun anyway.  Chris and I grabbed an ice cream on the way home from this amazing little mom and pop shop while Jace napped.  All in all, it was a fun little beach day! :)
