Tonight is opening day for the Durham Bulls! Chris, along with the rest of the team, will head to the field tonight full of anticipation. The beginning of the season is always exciting. Jace and I will be at the game tonight all bundled up! The opening day weather isn't going to be as nice as the 85 degree weather we have been enjoying in Florida. Today the high will only hit 65 and will only be around 58 degrees during the game. That's not too cold, but we will definitely have to wear some long sleeves....which we haven't seen since we left Reno over two months ago!!
Oh, and if you've never seen the movie Bulldurham you should watch it. It's a movie about the minor league team that Chris is playing for. When Chris and I first started dating 10 years ago he made me watch it with him...he told me it's a baseball classic and any girl that he was going to date had to watch it! Ha ha! It's a great movie and really shows what it's like to play in the minors. Check it out!
So here's to an amazing 2012 season! We would love prayers for a great, injury free, home-run hitting season! :) And to all my other baseball wives out there....I hope you and your husbands have a great year. Good luck with all the travel and getting settled for another season! You women are amazing!!!
