Jace is 6 months old today! I can't believe that he is already celebrating his half birthday...time flies! Here are a couple pictures of the little man sporting his #6 on his onesie! He even showed off a couple of his new tricks during the photo shoot...grabbing his feet and sitting up! :)

Likes:
Grabbing and sucking on feet
Rolling back and forth
Putting hands in mouth
Bouncing legs on hard surface
Standing up - putting weight on legs when held
Sucking thumb
Smiling at people
Sleeping on stomach
Skyping - he doesn't cry anymore!
Dislikes:
Being tired
Riding in car seat - if he can see us he wants to be held
Eating too much - he gets mad if we try to feed him too much solid foods
Monkey feet:
Jace has always been very busy with his legs and feet.....even before he was born. He is always kicking his legs and playing with his feet. He even grabs things with his toes! He will squeeze a toy in between his two feet or even grab something with his toes. If we stick our fingers on his toes he will grab them! Even when he is standing up with our help, he will grip the floor with his toes! Ha ha! Check out this picture I took the other day of Jace sitting up...he is strategically holding on to a toy with his toes.

Longer afternoon naps:
Jace has started to take a longer afternoon nap. If we are home, I can put him in his crib and he will sleep for 2-3 hours. It's so nice for me and really gives me some time to get stuff done around the house or workout. I sometimes even have to wake him up because we have to get ready to leave for the game and he is still sleeping! But unlike a lot of other babies, he won't sleep as long in his car seat. If I take him to run errands during his normal nap time in the car seat, he will only sleep for like an hour. He has to be in his crib to take the long naps!
Pacifier or thumb please:
Most of the time Jace falls asleep with his pacifier in his mouth and then it falls out of his mouth once he falls asleep. I normally go into his room and move the pacifier to a far corner of his crib so he doesn't roll over on it. A few weeks ago, I was watching Jace sleep on the monitor and the pacifier was in the corner of the crib. Well this little smarty moved himself over to the side, grabbed the pacifier, turned it around, stuck it in his mouth and fell back asleep! I was so surprised...I had no idea he had learned how to do that! And now, since he learned how to suck his thumb, he doesn't even mess with the pacifier he just sticks his thumb in his mouth and falls back asleep. I've heard so many people warn us about thumb sucking...but it's kind of hard to break him of that habit in the middle of the night! But if I see him sucking on it during the day I try to replace it with a pacifier...but I have a feeling we will still have a thumb sucker, just like his dad!
First road trip:
Jace did amazing on his first road trip. He is so easy going about everything. He was sleeping in two different hotel rooms in different cribs and he didn't skip a beat. He just goes with the flow. I was even more impressed with him because on top of all the travel he was also fighting a cold! The poor guy had a stuffy nose and a little cough during our whole trip. But he is a little trooper and did great. He still came to a few games with me, did some sightseeing, went shopping and rode nearly every form of public transportation imaginable! Ha ha! Even Chris said it wasn't too stressful with the two of us around...as long as we didn't try and make him walk around too much before the game! But I got the "ok" from Chris that the two of us can go on a few more road trips! Yippee! Good job Jace! :)
Here are some of my favorites pictures from this month! :)
