The big 2-9!

Yesterday I turned 29!  My last birthday before I start celebrating birthdays with 3's in front of them...Eeeekk!  Where has time gone?  But anyway, Chris made me feel really special for my big day.  We started celebrating the night before my birthday.  Chris came home from the field with some gorgeous roses and a bottle of champagne...my favorite!  Chris had a day game, so we were able to go out to dinner.  We went to this great little restaurant on the beach that rotates...so we got to see a 360 degree view.  Very beautiful!

After dinner, we drove down the street to this cute little ice cream shop called Larry's Ice Cream.  Since that's my dad's name...we knew this place was going to be amazing!  It did not disappoint...Chris and I both got sundaes with mint chip ice cream...our favorite.  And then as were paying, the girl behind the counter recognized Chris!  It was hilarious...she kinda looked at him and said, "Are you related to Chris Gimenez?"  And Chris kinda smiled and was like, "I'm him."  And then she says, "Oh, I never saw you without your hat on...I didn't know you were bald!"  Ha ha!! Hilarious!  Then she said she was the biggest Rays fan and asked for his autograph...what a celebrity.

Then, on my actual birthday Chris made me breakfast and then told me we were going to the beach!  Woo hoo!  We didn't have to go far...the beach is literally across the street from us.  So we packed some towels, sunscreen, a little tent we bought for Jace, the jogging stroller and headed over.  Jace loved his little tent.  He played with his toys in there for a little while and then took a little nap.  We were only there for about an hour and a half...which was just long enough for Chris to get a sun burn!  Oops!  Next time I'm gonna have to make my fair skinned hubby put on some sunscreen!

And then last night after the game, Chris and I finished my birthday celebration with a couple glasses of champagne!  Seriously, I had an amazing birthday!  It was perfect!  :)
