A couple days ago we took Jace down to the pool for the first time. We had dipped his toes in the ocean, but we hadn't taken him into a pool yet. So we put him in his swim gear and headed to the pool down stairs. We started out really slow just letting Jace get used to the cooler, non-bath water. Then Chris carried him in a little deeper...he started to get a little upset but we reassured him by smiling and say "Yay!" It's funny how much babies feed off of us for how they should react! So after he realized that we were cheering him on, he started smiling! We played in there for about a half hour. Chris took him all around the pool while I relaxed on the edge. Chris even turned him over on his stomach and he started kicking his feet and moving his arms around in the water. It was really cute! I'm sure there will be many more pool days in our future! :)
Oh and a side note, it's not your imagination...Chris' beard is black! Yup, a bunch of the guys on the team decided that they were all going to dye their beards black. So I'm sure it will be like that until the team starts playing bad or Chris starts playing bad...you know baseball players and their superstitions! :)
