Our next baby food experiment was sweet peas! So I went to the grocery store and picked up frozen organic sweet peas...I didn't want to mess with having get the peas out individually from the fresh ones. I boiled them, pureed them in my baby cooker and froze them in individual serving sizes. I also did another batch of the organic brown rice since I had to throw the first batch away in North Carolina.
I mixed three teaspoons of sweet peas with three teaspoons brown rice, some water and a little breast milk. I stirred it up and got Jace all ready to go. I expected Jace to eat for a minutes and then get bored and start crying, but I was pleasantly surprised. After the first initial shock of the new taste, he proceeded to eat the whole amount that I made! Woo hoo! I tried again the next day and same thing, he ate all of it! Way more then he was eating of just rice cereal or rice cereal/bananas! Success! I think next time I might try pears...unless you guys have any other suggestions?
We also started giving him a teething net filled with frozen bananas. It's basically a pacifier sized/shaped toy with a net. You can fill the net with anything...ice or frozen fruit and then Jace can suck on it. Since its cold it helps soothe his gums, plus he likes the taste of the bananas! I added a couple pictures of that too! :)

Frozen bananas in the mesh was the only thing that worked for Kensie! Genius idea. And the baby cook is my next purchase for baby #2, one gal has one on the team and she showed me how it works and I think it's a must have!
