Go get the bunnies!

We have bunnies in our back yard.  Yeah they are pretty cute with their little fluffy white tails, but they are annoying!  For one they, the poop everywhere!  We have little rabbits pellets everywhere and to make it worse, Max loves to eat it!  Gross!  And second, they drive Max crazy!  Poor dog can barely see one outside without going crazy.  He basically hovers at the back door all day just waiting until he sees one.  And then once he has spotted one, he whines and whines and whines at the back of the door until I let him out so that he can go chase the dang thing out of our yard.  Here's a picture of how Max spends most of his day...

Looking for bunnies!

 It's not fun for me to get up every five minutes (literally) to let Max outside....especially when I'm dealing with Jace too!  And half the time there isn't a bunny at all, but Max just wants to run out there, bark and show them who's boss!  So we decided it was time to get a dog door!  It has something we have been talking about since we moved in and we figured now is as good of a time as ever. So here is the finished project...now Max can race out of the garage door anytime he wants to chase a bunny!  :)

Problem solved, right? Wrong! From the garage door he can't see the bunnies...so he still goes to the back door and whines even though he can get outside all by himself.  I'm sure it will take a little time for him to figure it out, but I guess I was secretly hoping that he would figure it out right away! But hopefully he will get used to it soon...and when he does, look out bunnies!!!
