So I ended up staying home in Reno a lot longer then initially planned. When it's all said and done I will have been home for 5 weeks!! Yippee! It has been so nice to be home, sleeping on our bed, using our dishes, watching our TV! But there has been one thing missing....my husband! This has been the longest we have been apart since we got married nearly three years ago! Before that we would go a month without seeing each other all the time...but now I am not in "long-distance relationship shape" and this has been so hard! But lucky for me and Jace, Chris is coming home for the all-star break. So for three full days we will have nothing to do but relax in our house! I'm so excited!
In the meantime, to keep myself busy, I decided to decorate the house a little bit. We had a lot of empty walls since we only had a few weeks at home before Jace was born. It just didn't feel like home to me...so I set out to get some frames, paint some walls and decorate our place. Although Chris reminded me on a daily basis that I was on a strict budget!
The one thing I did splurge a little on was getting the house painted. As we speak (type?) our dining room, living room and master bedroom are all getting a little face lift. The dining room and master bedroom are going from tan to a light gray color and the living room is being painted a brown/gray. I took some before pictures of everything but the dining room (oops!). And I will post the finished project in a few days once I get all the pictures back on the wall.

One other fun thing we are doing is a baseball mural in Jace's room. I call it a mural...but really we are just having seams painted on the wall. Here is the photo that we are copying! I can't wait to see how it will turn out. So in about a week I will have after pictures with all of the new additions. And then when all that craziness is over my hubby will be in town! Woo hoo! Let the count down begin!

A few things...I love your reference to "long-distance shape"! It's so true...it's amazing how "in shape" we were when we lived apart! Haha. And Jace's nursery wall (the baseball) is just the cutest idea ever. Great job Kellie! We miss you!
