During spring training I made a ton of cake balls and cake pops!! It is such a great dessert...and was perfect to have around the house with all of our visitors in Arizona! Plus they are so much fun!! I think I'm going to try something really cute for Easter...I'll definitely post pictures if they turn out. But so far...here are some of my spring training creations! :)

P.S. Have you seen these bad boys at Starbucks?? I guess they have tried to break into the cake pop business...but read the article below. They really aren't as easy to make as you would think. In the article, the developer of the new product talks about the struggle to pick flavors and how they make sure they don't fall of the stick! Ha ha!
But my all time favorite, is the author of a blog called Bakerella (I've talked about her before). This website is where I first learned about the amazingness of cake balls and cake pops. She some really cute ideas for decorations for all holidays and some great suggestions for cake/frosting flavors combinations. Check it out! :)

So fun! They are surprisingly tasty. I love the little chick-y. I think I might try those for easter.
ReplyDeleteI love cake pops! I was going to make them for easter and I even went to Bakerella for the recipe! Hope you guys are enjoying the season.
ReplyDeleteConfession...I made these and they did NOT look nearly as good as yours! They tasted good, but they were so ugly and unpresentable :( Next time I see you we need to talk technique :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you do for Easter!
