First Start! :)

Yesterday, Chris got his first start as a Mariner.  He was the starting catcher in the series finale against the Indians.  I was so excited that he was able to play at least one game against his former team while they were out here.  Chris played great!  He went 1-for-3 at the plate with a single, blocked a bunch of balls, and even threw a guy out a second!  It's nice to get that first game of the season under your belt with a hit in the stat book.  It just takes all the pressure off of him.  The last couple days have been a whirl-wind, so I'm glad that Chris was still able to just go out there and play the way he knows he can play.  I'm very proud of him!

We got so many emails, messages and phone calls from so many of you!  Cheering Chris on, watching the game and just sending your support.  Thank you so much...it means more than you know!!  It is such an exciting time for us as a couple, but to know that our family and friends are along for the ride with us is so awesome!
