Fake Off Days?!?!
Let me start by saying off days are like gold! They are the only time that Chris and I can pretend like we have a normal "weekend." Chris is home all day, we can go do something during the day, eat dinner together, go to bed at a decent time...it is amazing!! But as I look at the Seattle schedule, I'm realizing that we have a lot of fake off days! Since Seattle is so far away from a lot of the other teams, the players have to spend their off day making the long flights across the country. For example, Monday is our first off day. But instead of enjoy a relaxing day together, Chris has to be at the field at 10am so the team can fly all the way to Detroit, MI. So disappointing. We do have a few "real" off days so I can't really complain....but I would love to have some of these travel days back so we could see more of Seattle. There are so many things that I would love to go check out. So I guess I'm gonna be flying solo during my sight seeing extravaganzas. Maybe Max will tag along with me?

Nick and I watched Chris on TV when they just played the Tigers! Nick was so excited...and he doesn't even know Chris "in real life" haha. He waited for him to come up to bat and then hurried me to the TV when he was up so I could watch too :)

ReplyDeleteI know I'm not the same as your Hubby, but I would LOVE to see Seattle and seeing as I have never been there are tons of things that I would like to experience. :)
